Apache JMeter
Overall Score
3.1

Overview

Apache JMeter is a pure‑Java, open‑source tool from the Apache Software Foundation that lets you load‑test and measure the performance of static and dynamic web applications, services, databases, and many other protocols. It supports both a rich graphical IDE for recording, building and debugging test plans and a headless command‑line mode ideal for continuous‑integration pipelines. With built‑in reporters, live dashboards, and an extensible plug‑in architecture (including scriptable samplers in Groovy, JSR223, etc.), JMeter can simulate thousands of concurrent users across HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP/REST, FTP, JDBC, JMS, SMTP, TCP and more. All you need is a Java 17 runtime to get started—simply unzip the binary distribution and run the jmeter script.
