Overview

JSch is a pure‑Java implementation of the SSH2 protocol that lets you add secure remote access, port and X11 forwarding, SFTP, and command execution directly into your Java applications. It works with any J2SE version from 1.2.2 onward (using the standard Java Cryptography Extension or Bouncy Castle) and supports a wide range of key exchanges, ciphers, MACs, and host‑key types. Because it is released under a BSD‑style license, you can freely modify and redistribute it while benefiting from features such as stream forwarding, packet compression, and proxy support.
