Overview

JupyterHub is an open‑source platform that lets you launch a multi‑user hub, automatically spawning and managing individual Jupyter notebook servers for each authenticated user. Built on a Tornado‑based hub, a configurable HTTP proxy, and standard single‑user notebook processes, it supports a wide range of authenticators and spawners—from local processes to Docker, Kubernetes, and batch systems. Installable via conda or pip and deployable with a ready‑made Docker image, JupyterHub scales from classroom environments to enterprise data‑science teams while offering a REST API for automated administration.
