Squash TA
Overall Score
2.4

Overview

Squash is an open‑source debugger that lets you attach to running microservice applications in Kubernetes (or OpenShift/Istio) directly from your terminal or IDE. It bridges the gap between traditional monolithic debuggers and distributed cloud‑native workloads, enabling you to set breakpoints, step through code, and inspect or modify variables across containers, pods, and services without changing the application. Supported languages include Go (dlv), Java, Python, Node.js and GDB, with integrations for VS Code, IntelliJ and Eclipse, and the platform is designed to be easily extensible for additional debuggers and IDEs. By providing real‑time, in‑process debugging for microservices, Squash gives developers a holistic view of their distributed systems and speeds up troubleshooting.
