Overview

Tock is a modern embedded operating system for Cortex‑M and RISC‑V platforms that lets many mutually‑distrustful applications run side‑by‑side safely. By writing the kernel and device drivers in Rust, Tock gains compile‑time memory‑ and type‑safety, while its use of memory‑protection units isolates each app from the kernel and from one another. The project is now in its second major release (2.x), offering extensive documentation, API references, and an active community on Slack and the Tock Book.
