Overview

Valkey is a high‑performance, open‑source data‑structure server optimized for key/value workloads, offering a rich set of native structures and an extensible plugin system for custom data types. It runs on Linux, macOS, and the BSD family (with experimental support for Solaris‑derived systems) and can be built with a single make command, optionally enabling TLS, RDMA, systemd, or fast‑float acceleration. The server starts instantly with ./valkey-server, and its companion client valkey-cli provides secure connections out of the box. Comprehensive testing and performance dashboards make it easy to validate stability and track throughput improvements across releases.
