Overview

Vue 2 is a progressive, incrementally adoptable framework for building user interfaces, offering a lightweight core that focuses on the view layer while supporting a rich ecosystem of routing, state management, tooling, and server‑side rendering libraries. It works across all ES5‑compatible browsers and is released under an MIT license, making it free to use and modify. Although Vue 2 reached its End‑of‑Life on 31 December 2023 and no longer receives new features or fixes, it remains available via CDNs and package managers for existing projects that cannot yet migrate to Vue 3.
