Overview

XerXes is an open‑source network stress‑testing utility written in C that can generate high‑volume traffic toward a specified IP address and port. It can be compiled with a simple gcc -o xerxes xerxes.c command and executed on Linux, Unix, or macOS systems via ./xerxes <IP> <PORT>. The project includes optional anonymity features such as proxy, VPN, OpenVPN, Tor, and ProxyChains support. While the code references the hacktivist persona “The Jester,” it is primarily intended for legitimate performance and security testing scenarios.
